The sale of our home in Utah is complete and after much consideration, we have decided to buy a house out here in Kansas. After doing a lot of research, we decided to get a house in a city south of Wichita called Derby. It's totally my dream house. (Just like my last house...which I still miss). It is scheduled to close on April 30th. We are all so thrilled at the thought of getting our stuff back so soon and finally being able to settle in.
I think our favorite things about the house is that it's at the end of a cul-de-sac in a very nice neighborhood, the yard is about 4 times bigger than our last yard, and the master bathroom has a jetted whirlpool tub. Here is a link if you want to see it.
The only downside is that homes in Derby are more expensive than in other areas (but I think the neighborhoods really are the best....). The listing price may not look real high, especially compared to Utah, but we will pay two and a half times more taxes.
So, that's what's going on with us. Prepare yourselves for another address change. yipeeeeee!
