snow

The weather here in Kansas has been so nice and warm. We even had a day that reached 80 degrees! Well, we finally had a storm come in and we got about 8 inches of snow/ice. It was hailing a lot yesturday and then it turned into snow. I went out "house shopping" with the kids at 10am with dark clouds in the sky. By 11:30 the roads looked so bad that we skipped the rest of the houses we were going to see and drove home going about 25 mph on the freeway. Joseph's afternoon meeting was canceled so he came home after lunch. It's been nice to just stay home and not need to drive anywhere.

We let the kids go play out in the snow. I just took Lincoln out for the photo. I started to scrap our cars since I was out with the kids anyway. It was kind of funny because there was a thick layer of ice on the cars and then tons of snow packed on top.

buying a new house

I was telling Isabel that we are almost ready to buy a new house. We just need to find the one we want. I've already looked at so many and we will look at about ten more today and tomorrow. Isabel loves house shopping with me. She really likes jacuzzi tubs (me too) and secret/extra closets. She asked me how much the houses will cost and if we had enough money. (We talk a lot about getting things on sale or saving up money to buy things...) I told her how we will ask to borrow money from a bank and they will tell us to pay a certain amount (for a down payment) and they will pay the rest if we promise to pay them back. She said if we don't have enough money that we could use the money in her piggy bank. I thought that was so sweet. She is ready to get out of this rental just like I am! ha ha ha.

sorry...

I have not put a new post up in forever....but here I am. We are still alive. So, I just got back from selling our house in Provo. We got on offer and it fell through. We got another offer and it fell through. But the fourth offer turned out to work. We've all signed the paper work, but are waiting for the buyers loan to fund on Monday. Lincoln and I flew back to Utah to supervise the packers/movers, sign the papers and take care of everything/anything else.

I was gone for five days and thought this might be a good time (or the only time) for Joseph to potty train Ansel. Well, when they picked me up from the airport Joseph said that Ansel has not used the potty before they left. But, Ansel stayed dry until we got home and I said I wanted him to show me how he went potty. Oh my goodness, it was amazing!! He went into the bathroom not only did he use his little potty chair, but he poured it into the big toilet and flushed. He did EVERYTHING himself. Joseph said he has even done #1 and #2. YIPEEEE

Isabel and Ansel had both picked me flowers and ran out to greet me. It was a great trip, but it's so nice to be back home.
